Who we are: An education and career center for adults 18 and older. We serve those who do not have a diploma and have not or cannot secure a G.E.D. or General Equivalency Degree.
What we do: Enable people to gain their high school diplomas and job-ready certificates in specific areas. Instead of one-size-fits all instruction, each student has a personal program of learning. Each works at his or her own pace. All courses are available online 24/7 using state-approved, state-of-the-art instruction with tutors to assist when there is a problem.
Why we exist: To give people new opportunities for success. We know that too many people leave high school without a diploma or a pathway to a job. We want to change that.
What we offer: First and foremost, a bona fide high school diploma. Separately, we offer courses that enable people to earn their state license as a certified nursing assistant (C.N.A.) or as a pharmacy technician.
Why should you get your high school diploma? If you want to achieve your dreams and make more than the minimum wage, then you're going to need a high school diploma. Employers demand it. So do colleges and universities. We make it possible with our program of individual, computer-based learning. Are you too old to get your high school diploma? Absolutely not! Our oldest graduate is 82. If she did it, then so can you!
Our Mission is to provide adults with a pathway to success. Our Philosophy is that every adult can achieve academic success in the nurturing, encouraging and supportive environment we provide.
"We are excited to have the opportunity to help you achieve your dream!" Joann Henry, Program Director
